G&T Lovett
Ho-hum. Not much to report on, but I've got 30mins to kill until I've got to go and get ready for this interview that I've definitely got and it's an interview and everything so I'm quite good because I've got this interview because it's good.
So, it's been there for a while, but I thought I'd bring your attention to the news page of Norm's site. Firstly, news on his Edinburgh show:
"My daughters Lily and Kitty will be joining me at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August to perform our show WE LOVETT at The Stand Comedy Club 7-30 August (not 16th) Venue 5 at 2.30pm.
Excellent. I've never actually seen Norm live (unlike Ian); the question is, can I be arsed going to Edinburgh this year? Last time I went was in 1999. I'd probably be more inclined to go if it was the Edinburgh Minge Festival. Now, with material like that, I could probably go up there and earn my keep, couldn't I? Well, it's better than The twatting Consultants, anyway.
It also appears that Norm has finally cracked:
"Every Red Dwarf fan I meet wants to know when the film will be made and I would suggest you to write to Red Dwarf Films Ltd. Building 35, Shepperton Studios, Studios Road, Shepperton, Middlesex TW17 0QD. It would probably be better to enclose a S.A.E to ensure a reply although I can't guarantee that you will get one."
Come on then; who's going to be first to try it? I wonder what response you'd get. "Dear Sir. FUCK OFF AND DIE. Yours faithfully, Doug Naylor."
In related news, the Winchester Entertainment website has finally launched; and it's pretty good for a media company website. In that: it's shit, but at least it's not Flash. Sadly, there's no mention of the Dwarf Movie. Watch out for them rebranding entirely as ContentFilm at some point, now the merger has been finalised.
I'M GOING TO GO AND DO MY INTERVIEW NOW.
Comments
Dear Sir,
I am sorry your faith in the Red Dwarf: The Movie project has flagged. It has a great script and if only I could get this bloody financing arranged I'm sure it would please every Red Dwarf fan who has been clamoring for new, high-quality material. In fact, good news as of late, because it really does appear that this group of backers is serious about the project, and pre-production has even been assigned a definite start date.
So I would just like to say that, finally, THE RED DWARF MOVIE IS GETTING MADE!

Doug Naylor, there.
I have a feeling that John and Ian may shortly *literally* explode.

Well said!

So is it the real Doug then?

"So is it the real Doug then?"
Yes. This is his favourite internet site after www.bigboysinboots.com
I don't lie.

DAMN, really disapointed, that isn't a real website :-(
Posted by Danny Pendleton at June 6, 2004 07:11 PM
Ahh...if only it was the real Doug...given how it was the first post though it seems unlikely. (VERY unlikely)
Posted by Adam Bailey at June 6, 2004 07:49 PM
Yes, I doubt this is really Doug. I;d lvoe it to be but posting on UNOFFICIAL SCUM fan-sites isn't something I can imagine him doing.
Posted by Cappsy at June 6, 2004 08:20 PM
It's probably not the real Doug Naylor. Unless it is...in which case, it probably IS the real Doug Naylor. Unless it isn't. Which it is. Probably.

What a bunch of twonks.

On a different subject entirely, I wonder how the interview went?
Posted by Austin Ross at June 6, 2004 10:30 PM
It's not him.
It's one reason I want to get comment registration on here though; so people can post and feel confident that people will know they are who they say they are; and that you can't have imposters. Not that I ever expect Doug to post on here, mind you; but it'd be nice if some of the production crew did.
As for the interview: it went splendidly. Should be up some time next week, if Tanya gets her quite considerable arse in gear.

What was it that you were going to buy me, again?
