Slobbing in the Morning
And what have I produced? A lazy round-up article. Anyway. More and more interesting stuff keeps coming out of Cappsy's Hole. The latest addition is an article on the 1974 film Dark Star - by all accounts (including Rob and Doug) one of the main inspirations for Red Dwarf. Excellent.
Meanwhile, a few more items have been added to the Dwarf Prop Store sale. Note that the Simulant Knife that we mentioned last time has sold already; I suggest you check the site every day if you want to have the best chance of buying a R@RE ITEM, as something good may well be sold before we get a chance to report it.
| Item | Series/Episode | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Kochanski Red Costume | Series VII | 625 |
| Moon Map | Not stated | 25 |
| Rimmer Trick Coin | Only The Good... | 175 |
| Rimmer Lilac Cavalier Costume | Terrorform | 1015 |
| Lister Dressing Gown | Polymorph | 695 |
| Cat's Nap Cushion | Me² | 229 |
| Ships Issue Peach Slice Tin | Bodyswap | 75 |
Lots of lovely stuff there - the Cat's nap cushion from Me² being a particuarly great find. And who wouldn't want to use the dressing gown seen in Polymorph as their own? Anyone who is reading this site, anyway. And you can insert the predictable spunky fantasy about the red PVC Kochanski costume yourself. I certainly will. And has anyone any idea where the Moon Map might be seen?
Finally, a couple of Series III DVD reviews: Lights Out (nice and long episode reviews in particular - sadly a rarity with this type of review), DVD Review (OK review, but FUCK OFF FIXED-WIDTH WEBSITES FUCK. Oh, and the Polymorph isn't an alien). Let us know if you see any more. I haven't bothered with customer reviews from shopping sites; but I'll tell you this - if I read once more that Red Dwarf only became great in Series 3, I'll track them down (to the other side of the world if necessary) and jam their head in a lift.
The official site has updated - Ian's newsround will be up later today. And hey, perhaps there will be a site update over the weekend for once. You never know.
