Ian's Newsround - 13/02/04
Rather a small TOS update this week, but that's understandable. This is the quiet before the storm that will be delivered through thousands of letterboxes tomorrow morning. Or bought in shops by FOOLS on Monday. (Plus, with all the commentary tracks that have been recorded in the last two weeks, top brass at GNP have got better things to do.) This storm, of course, is the Series IV DVD. In a way, it's a shame that I've already got the DVD. *gets lynched by everyone who hasn't got a multi-region player* Wah! As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, it's a shame that the little teaser images of interviewees, model shots, the gallery and A Life In Lam don't excite me that much. Having said that, it's strange that Doug Naylor appears to have fallen into a coma. And there's little teasers about future updates too; the highlight being an interview with Forbes Masson.
In other news, there is to be a UK Gold run. One more Gold Run, and Doug Naylor will win a trip to Thailand. Let's hope he remembers his lucky mascot. But of course, it's hardly fair that the blue team has two members. "Can I have a P please, Bob?" And so on. Anyway, Series V and VI are being shown in the wee hours at the moment, when everyone should be tucked up in bed. Oh, and either TOS has messed up bad, or Gunmen is being shown on two consequetive nights. Well, it is a good episode.
And finally, a Talkie Toaster interview with Bongo from Dimension Jump. Now, I don't usually bother commenting on Toaster Talking (there's a reason that the Talkie guise was only used in one episode, frankly), but not only is there shit all else to talk about today, the feature is actually quite good. There's a welcome lack of toast gags, and the thing is full of Ellard-o-theories about the inhabitants of Ace's dimension. Hurrah!
