Craig Charles to attend DJ

It's true. The laws of time and space are now redundant, as Craig Charles has agreed to attend DJ 2006, to be held in Peterborough in September. Expect Red Dwarf USA to come out on DVD next week, the movie to be released by the end of the year and Christ to rise from the dead.

To quote James Bull on the fan club forums, which I can't link to in case non fan club members read it and decide to sign up and go to DJ on the basis of exciting news like this breaking:

Yes its 100% true. He felt it had been too long and any problems in the past were in the past, and this year would be a new beggining for him and DJ. And Sharon and I begged ohhh we begged

Well, hurrah, says I. We've slagged Craig off in the past for his non-appearances at DJ, believing it to be down to money and/or dislike of his fans. But this news means that either he's had a massive change of heart, we had the wrong end of the stick all along, or that the fan club have given him bundles of cash and/or sexual favours. Either way, everyone who moans about DJ being the same every year will have to eat their respective hats with this news.

Now if I see Chris' name, Danny's name and Robert's name all appear on the guest list, I'll try my effing damndest to fly over there. I definitely don't want the chance to see them all.

Norm and Chloe would be nice, but not make or break. It would take the other three to get me across the Atlantic.

Ohhhhh come on. I've never met any of the guys. Despite all the Craig bashing, he's still one of my essential "to meet" cast members. Besides, he can't be all that bad.
