Brittas Three cover and extras

After a tip-off from Big Blake, whose computer is still fucked, we know now a few more details about the Brittas Series Three DVD release. Play's listing now has an image of the cover, and a list of extras.

The cover looks quite nice. A shot of Chris Barrie's comedy face, over a spiffing background shot of the leisure centre. The border is green, which I imagine will look nice against the red and blue of the previous two released. Hmm, the first three series of a TV show having red, blue and green spines... More intriguing, however, is the list of extras. There is to be a game, man! No details other than that, though. What would appear to be the best extra is the Wogan interview. No details as to who exactly was interviewed, and whether there was any behind the scenes footage, as per the sequence on the Series Two DVD.

We'll keep them peeled for more details...

A Wogan interview! Fantastic! It's great to find a company that is prepared to put in so much effort for what is a supposed 'mainstream' comedy.

I'm sure it *must* be Barrie who is interviewed; I don't think anyone else in the cast is famous enough. Probably just a short clip, and a nice interview. (How long did the interviews usually last on Wogan?)

Long enough for a decent interview I think.

About 10-15 minutes, as I recall.

According to Eureka, the game's called 'Where's Ben?' Usually in a cupboard or in the ventilation system, as far as I remember. And it looks like they've finally created a cover without flipping the photo of Chris Barrie! We all know which side Gordon's hair was parted on, for goodness sake. So you didn't. So I'm an anorak. So what? :)

I really should begin my buying of the Britas DVD's. At this rate all 7 series will be out by next Christmas.

Eureka are doing an excellent job with these.

I can't wait for series 5 - I love all the intertwining plottiness in that. Plus the DVD will have 9 episodes on, which is worth anyone's 20.

I thought the spine of series 2 was purple, not blue.

It's that colour that no-one can decide whether it's blue or purple. Immense and bloody wars have been fought over this.

I get many letters on my site about the colour of Waluigi's dungarees (which the same hue as this Brittas spine). I guess some people just really think it actually matters what you call it. Largely 12-year-old American kids, from my experience.

I consider it purple, but said blue so I could do the joke about the RD spines.

I find that it's much more satisfying to consume new release videos and DVDs on the Monday they appear on the shelves.

Maybe I'm insane, but I'm at least sane enough to be an inexplicably pedantic tosser.

I did love the release days of the last two DVDs. Hardly sleeping the night before, getting up early, running to Woolworths and back...

But I'd much much rather have it early.

I think that just means they've not been released on video before.
