Tuck Shock
Like 'tuck shop'. Do you see?
Anyway, Total Red Dwarf has been updated, for the first time in a fair while, with some marvellous news. Following his appearance at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford, Mike Tucker, a member of the excellent visual effects team, revealed that he will be a guest at Dimension Jump XI, to be held at the Bedford Moat Hotel in June next year. This is good news; Mike was excellent at DJX, despite being given the not-very-illustruous spot of first thing on Sunday morning.
Not only that, Paul and Vicky also report that Mike will be "trying to get some of his colleagues (camera guys etc.) to come with him". This is also excellent - the more the merrier. Just think of the possibilities - Rocket, Alan Marshall (the man who built Starbug), maybe even Peter Wragg...

Why? It sounds fantastic!

Effects hold no fascination for me to be fair. To be honest it bores the shit out of me
Posted by Drzymala at October 13, 2003 08:59 PM
But they're beautiful works of art!

Agreed John. I loved the Tucker presentation at DJX.

I'm not questioning if he was good or not. I PERSONALLY find it shitten boring. My view, so whats yer problem :P

You're wrong, and you're a grotesquely ugly freak.

Ever looked in a mirror Symes?

Even watched Brasseye? You should.
Posted by Ian Symes at October 14, 2003 12:39 PM
Symes, your taste in comedy is impeccable. Brasseye is genius.

I accept you find it interesting Ian, but I'd rather go do something else than sit for an hour looking at crappy little models and how they were made etc as it just doesn't interest me. Sure they look good on camera but to how they were made etc just holds no appeal to me
Posted by Drzymala at October 14, 2003 04:46 PM
I bet a tenner you also find rushes "boring".
Posted by Darrell Jones at October 14, 2003 05:35 PM
Rushes? Didn't Darius release that as a single.
So what if I find it boring!? I'm not slaggin off anyone who finds it interesting. I'm allowed my opinion as much as the next man.
Posted by Drzymala at October 14, 2003 06:12 PM
Yes, but there's no need to use it to make a sneery remark about the fine work of another, which contributed to the overall beauty of Red Dwarf. Shame on you, sir.

I merely said I find it boring. If you don't like it shove it up your arse
Posted by Drzymala at October 14, 2003 09:10 PM
Politeness, there.
Posted by Darrell Jones at October 15, 2003 01:41 AM
I'd be polite if some people didn't think their views were far superior than others
Posted by Drzymala at October 15, 2003 07:53 AM
Matt, only I'm allowed to tell my girlfriend to shove it up her arse.
Behave, please.
Posted by John Hoare at October 15, 2003 07:58 AM
I'm not misbehaving. Oh sorry, I forgot its ok for people to be shitty at me but not me back. How silly of me
Posted by Drzymala at October 15, 2003 08:12 AM
Oh, man!
If anyone wants me, I'll be having a panic attack under the scanner table.
Posted by Ian Symes at October 15, 2003 08:32 AM
In conclusion; it's ok for Dryz to say what he likes in whatever way he likes, but if anyone challenges that, they're being 'superior'. Got that?
Posted by Tanya at October 15, 2003 03:59 PM
I found him Interesting and the film/slide show was good..It was good to listen to his views on CGI and the closure of the BBC special effect dept too..Having said that, I know a couple of people who said it was boring..at the end of the day you can't please all of the people all of the time etc (I found the Auctions rather boring)..

I never said that Tanya, the matter is, people can disagree with something but if it goes against the vast point of view then you're wrong, which is crap in honesty
Posted by Drzymala at October 15, 2003 06:48 PM
No, Dryz, you've misinterpreted what people have said to suit your argument. The objection people had was towards your attitude, not your opinion. In any case, going on a thread about something you aren't interested in and saying that you're not interested in it is simply bad manners. Please don't use your lack of manners and good grace to try and prove a non-existent point about not being 'one of the herd'.
