Father of Son of Cliché

Yes, it's true! After being disregarded for many years, in favour of the much more sucessful sequel, Clich is to be repeated on BBC7! This is wonderful, incredible, marvellous news. The fun starts this Wednesday (the 10th) at 2pm, with a repeat at 9pm. You can get BBC7 through almost all digital telly services, as well as on DAB digital radio and via the website.

Ta muchly to Darrell Jones for letting us know about this. You're a star.

UPDATE (10/9/03 - by John Hoare): More schedule details (all at 2pm with a repeat at 9pm):

We're just assuming they're playing the episodes in order, although this isn't guaranteed, of course. They're all being recorded by special people with special wires, so expect them on a sever somewhere near you soon. And don't ask us why what we presume to be episode 6 is on on the 23rd...

And if you missed it, or want a recording, the combined magic of Cappsy of White Hole and "I've got a bloody nice personal server" fame, and Nik Horne of "being bloody good with a set of wires" fame, will have something for you shortly...

ADDITIONAL (13/9/03): As you can see, the schedule has changed slightly. Thanks to Darrell Jones and Nik Horne for clarifying the new schedule. Why they're suddenly not playing an episode on the 23rd, and where episode 5 has gone, we have no idea.

Owing to a complete technical disaster when updating (don't ever try to update an article when someone else is doing the same - it brings MISERY and PAIN), the comments FUCKED UP. Here is an archive of the old responses. How professional.

There'll be some lovely MP3s coming out of this, I can tell you - my line-in socket will think it's Christmas. I guess Cappsy would be happy to host these if I give them to him.

I can't wait to hear this series.

Neither can I; it's been shrouded in mystery for years for most people. I always found it odd that SoC got loads of mentions, wheras C itself got hardly any; but, of course, that's because of Dave Hollins...

To be honest I'm going to skip this until his grandparents are made available again.

Yep - Nik Horne has kindly agreed to do it, providing I remind him shortly before. SELFISH BASTARD.

Ah, good old Nik to the rescue.

He can record in stereo whereas I bloody can't, thanks to a dodgy line-in socket.

There's an episode of Clich on Tuesday 23rd September - presumable the 6th episode?

Also, Cappsy, you might want to wait for better recordings of Son of Clich, courtesy of BBC 7.

Just added that into the article. Ta, Nik. No idea what BBC7 think they're up to with their crazy scheduling.

It's lucky I don't have a sentimental attachment to my bandwidth :P

Comments

I fear the worst - I think some episodes might have been wiped / gone walkies, which is a shame if it's true.

I'm going to e-mail the BBC tomorrow, so hopefully we should have an answer...

E-mailed them yesterday. Will do an article when I've got a reply.
