Sigh. We are crap. Guess what's broadcast on Radio 2 at 7pm on Tuesdays? Only bloody Howard Goodall's Classical Connections.
Bafta winning broadcaster and one of the country's most sought after composers, Howard Goodall presents a new series for BBC Radio 2.
Each programme takes a theme and mixes music of all styles and of all eras, emphasising Howard's long held belief that the interplay between different musical traditions is a wholly creative and positive one and that there are surprising similarities and connections between Concert Hall, TV, Film and folk music from around the world.

BAH. Meanwhile, thanks to Darrell for spotting another series of Wax On..., also on Radio 2, at 1pm on Saturdays. Not that Ruby Wax is a story (we don't usually bother with guest star news), but her darling (and obviously quite, quite mad) hubby is Mr. Ed Bye, who appears to be taking the role of Clive (at least, as far as I can figure out):
Ruby Wax returns to talk about life and death issues, play some cutting edge comedy and be extremely rude to her long suffering co-presenter, Clive, in a comedy archive half hour that is as unpredictable as it is seriously funny.
The first episode of this series was broadcast today; I'd give you the next episodes details, but it appears that the first and the second episodes have swopped round (RT and the R2 websites giving conflicting information), so fuck knows what ep will actually broadcast next week. Eight eps in it, anyway. Have fun!

I did listen to most of Ms Wax's show today and did think at one time it was her Hubby as they seemed to go back a way, However I was thrown by the 'Hilarious' use of the 'Clive' Disguise....There was a phone call to her mate Jo Brand and a number of Comedy Clips, but I didn't think it was as good as some Saturday Radio2 shows of late....Arthur Smiths Show seemed better that I think Ruby replaced!

Either the new pictures of the Starbug playset (closeups of the figures, pop-up Holly etc.) are old news that I just wasn't paying attention for, or your email isn't working, cos I emailed you about that yesterday.

I did actually have e-mail trouble today... a load of stuff just came through two hours ago.
To be honest, I don't know if it's news or not! I think the page was changed fairly recently, as the Diary still has the November date. So ta :-)

I really hope the Wax On... that was meant to be on yesterday is on next week. I want to hear that Tony Slattery acceptance speech thing. The Radio Times reckoned it was on Radio 4 at 3.30!

I have been a great admirer of MS. RUBY WAX since THE FULL WAX�, whereon she did some killer interviews with MS. GRACE JONES, MS. SANDRA BERNHARDT, MS. JENNIFER SAUNDERS & MS. JOANNA LUMLEY.
The fact that MS. WAX is an expatriate American Jew working in the British Entertainment Industry is reason enough for me to respect her, but I find her vert funny & rather dishy, as well.
