SFX Event 2004
Red Dwarf, eh? You'd think that a UK sci-fi series and UK magazines would be the perfect marriage. But it's amazing how often British magazines seem to miss the entire point of the show (almost as much as EVERYONE ELSE, in fact) - and SFX is no exception, whether it's sitting around sneering at Backwards, or in yet another appalling review.
Nonetheless, even SFX recognise the greatness of Chris Barrie, who by all accounts single-handedly saved their Readers Awards ceremony at last year's SFX Event. So much so that he's been invited back to present them this year. A brief rundown of important info of the three-day event, then:
SFX Event 2004
Date: 4th - 6th June 2004
Venue: Hilton Metropole Hotel, London (travel details)
You can buy tickets on the site; adult tickets range from range from £47.50 (a one-day pass), to £77.50 (an all weekend pass), to, erm, £255, which allows you one free blowjob from a star of your choice. Seriously though, there's something that feels slightly odd about paying to go to a special party with the stars. YES, YOU TOO CAN KID YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE FAMOUS, FOR ONE NIGHT.
The actual awards ceremony itself takes place on the Sunday evening (that's the 6th). No other Dwarfers have been announced yet (and from previous experience, I wouldn't expect any others to turn up), but to be fair SFX are probably too busy shooting their hot thick creamy loads over Joss Whedon.
Does this win the record for the most mean and unnecessary sniping in a G&T news article so far?

No, SFX deserve all of it. 255 would have to include James Marsters' hair preserved in carbonite

Incidentally, it's SFX: The Event, not SFX Event. In my panic I must have made a programming error.

You've also put 'range from' twice, in your evident excitement.
