High and Low Script

An exciting update, this. We've got hold of the shooting script for High & Low, later renamed Demons & Angels! Hopefully, the accompanying article will provide a nice taster for what is to come in November of this year. There's also loads of interesting facts, so it's well worth a read. Oh, and there's some pictures.

If you've not already seen it, there's also an analysis of a script for The Inquisitor here as well. And we should be getting hold of a whopping eight other scripts soon. Keep 'em peeled, guys.

Wow! Amazing stuff!

(and the Food Featurette finally found itself a use!)

Well spotted! We would have used stuff from Alternate Personalities as well, but John has lost his bonus disc for Series II.

KRYTEN: It's like a shrine to everything that's low and base. Everything that's designed to sicken the soul and shrivel the spirit.
CAT: (LOOKING THROUGH VIDEOS) Ever heard of a guy called "Jeremy Beadle"?

That is sublime! Thank you so much for writing this up, thank you.

And thanks again, the joy I get from reading things like this is why I'm a comedy fan.

Wow. And to think I thought the Inquisitor one couldn't be topped!

Excellent article. And that picture of Craig eating the low strawberry really is priceless.

Oh Yes!! I am a Demons and angels/High and low Smeg head!! I gonna read it! Yeah!

Excellent stuff!

Very interesting, gives even more reason to look forward to the season V dvd.

Damnit, wish I had IV in my hands already...

Posted by Adam Bailey at February 20, 2004 04:06 PM

The Series V and VI DVD's WILL be the pick of the bunch.

Posted by Cappsy at February 20, 2004 11:17 PM

I think the V one will be the best of the eight as well.

Posted by Darrell Jones at February 20, 2004 11:34 PM

I'm especially looking forward to the 'computer generated crew' deleted scene from Back to Reality.

It does seem a shame that with Series V they have recorded new stuff for the easter eggs. I'm sure this will al be top notch stuff but I want lots of stuff shot at the time of the series. Rare stuff.

Posted by Cappsy at February 21, 2004 12:44 AM

Indeed - I don't want 'The Inquisitor's Guide to Featurettes' if I can have more out-takes or uncut model rushes!

Posted by Darrell Jones at February 21, 2004 12:49 AM

I hope to god Andrew has got the message and lays off the writing...

Posted by Cappsy at February 21, 2004 12:57 AM

Lets be honest here, a Life of Lame was very lame...

Cant smeg won't smeg is very good though :)

Posted by Mr Flibble at February 21, 2004 09:39 AM

Who's to say we won't have a mix of archive and new stuff for easter eggs? After all, that's *exactly* what we've got for III and IV.

Posted by Ian Symes at February 21, 2004 05:16 PM

Splendid, everything except what they ate, how do you get hold of this stuff.......

Posted by Cpt-D at February 21, 2004 10:01 PM

Amazing stuff indeed but Ian still incomplete i have the High and Low script 3/10/91 with the re-numbered scenes 10/10/91. The first line on my script is
Kryten: Calibrator lockedand set 4d scan complete. organic infrastructure recorded and stored
Lister: Looking good. I'm getting a one to three ratio
Kryten: And the ocillator wave form?
Lister: Stable
Kryten: We have perfect conditions. Engage the Triplicator

And it goes on with quite a few different lines, i can go through and list the ones different to your script and send if you like?

Posted by Drumjay at February 23, 2004 05:45 PM

Excellent, Drum. Yes please.

Posted by Ian Symes at February 23, 2004 06:19 PM

No problem at all it would be a pleasure, and you can work your magic with the writing, I'm very impressed with your detail to your work, i see great things for you and John.
Another line i have found that is a classic! i wonder why it was left out, it could have been another great one liners
Kryten Well, hot-wire my groinal socket! and change my name by deed poll!

The script says that it is a draft 1, so it must have been altered may times afterwards...i will get typing...:)

Posted by Drumjay at February 23, 2004 06:46 PM

This is getting orgasmically fascinating now.

"Well, hot-wire my groinal socket and change my name by deed poll!" - this is great!

Posted by Darrell Jones at February 23, 2004 07:05 PM

Just mop up afterwards, Darrell.

Posted by Cappsy at February 24, 2004 12:55 PM

I Could send you some more pictures, If you want them Ian/John!!

Posted by MJN SEIFER at March 1, 2004 07:51 PM

Would you kindly refrain from passing images around the world without my permission? I paid good money for the right to sue you, so don't push me, Bucko.
