Paul Jackson NEWS

The previous ITV logo. RUBBISH.Jackson out of running for ITV America? Well, now it's Jackson takes ITV's American Brief. Apparently, Simon Shaps (head of ITV plc's programme-making division) talked him into it. You can work out the rest of the story for yourself.

You can read more about Paul in his fascinating Mr Flibble interview. Quite apart from the excellent trivia (he was originally supposed to direct Red Dwarf until the strikes held up proceedings), the sight of one of a leading TV executive with his hand up a bad penguin puppet makes it worth it.

It's a bit like the programme "After they were famous", this.

He should go back to directing sitcoms.

Have I bored you all with that story of how my mother and I met Paul Jackson at an 'In Conversation With...' recording?

Point is; He is a nice man.

You haven't. Enlighten us!

Which 'In Conversation With' was it?

That programme can be either frustratingly terrible or 'quite good actually'. Iannucci's is the peak by far.
