John's Roundup - 17/06/04
What a gorgeous piece of totty I am. Oh yes. Totty, totty... totty.
- First up is Cappsy's Digitial Versatile Discussions, or "An interview with DVD Producer Andrew Ellard". It contains a number of exclusives, and is what I would quantify as excellent. Cappsy, I don't know how you became us, but I sure as hell don't intend to help you carry on doing what you're doing.
- Hercule Platini has posted a day by day report of DJXI on ATVRD: Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3/Conclusion. My hilarious leaflets quoting him are not noted, but at least my hilarious movie script question is. As for why the Series 1 and 2 DVDs didn't have full episode-by-episode documentaries on them: Money.
- I've been meaning to get round to this one for a few days; SFX have announced most of the winners of the SFX Readers Awards, hosted by Chris Barrie and held at the SFX Event; although some of the more amusing fun ones will only be announced in the magazine next month. So, did anyone here go? What was Chris like? How did his Q&A session go?
Oh, and anyone I owe an e-mail to - I'll reply Sunday night. I'm over in Devon at my girlfriend's for a week; and if it's a choice between e-mails or letting my girlfriend serve my glistening cock, I think I know which wins.
Comments
I can't believe I missed out the question on the menus, though At least I still had some fuzzy memory of my conversation with Andrew to muddle through.
I must say it was very good of Andrew to allow these exclusives on to The White Hole.
HOwever, I'm starting to think that the only people who gives a fuck about what the cover art will be and what the titles of the documentaries are are me John and Ian.
AT LEAST WE HAVE OUR PRIORITIES RIGHT. Apart from John, that is, who'd rather have his cock seen to than be a geek. Shame on you.

A picture of John getting sodomised, there.

It's not a good night unless you get a traffic cone rammed up your bum!

Rest assured Cappsy, the colour of the VII and VIII DVD cover art is what keeps me awake at night.

"Rest assured Cappsy, the colour of the VII and VIII DVD cover art is what keeps me awake at night."
DAMN RIGHT!

Hm. It appears as though John looks almost identical to someone I know. Except for the sodomized bit, of course.
And, yes, excellent work, Cappsy. My own site seems to be the one with the least number of exclusives, but that's all right. Now, if you'll excuse me, I forgot who I was for a moment - I'm a geek and proud of it.

"My own site seems to be the one with the least number of exclusives"
Sod exclusives, your site is bloody marvellous. This was discussed at DJ, actually.
Posted by Cappsy at June 17, 2004 04:24 PM
Discussed? By whom? What was said? I need to know, man!
Posted by Austin Ross at June 17, 2004 04:26 PM
By me, Cappsy and John, if I recall. We said "great site, same Austin's such a tosser".
Posted by Ian Symes at June 17, 2004 04:34 PM
Excellent. I expect a full transcript in your DJ report.

Fucking yes! They are having one called "sick"! I knew it! Hopefully they'll have one called "death" - oh this is brilliant, the DVDs will be so morbid when put together in a row, those featurettes will symbolise the sad degeneration of Red Dwarf over the years.
Posted by Swan and Britches at June 17, 2004 06:41 PM
They are having a SICK featurette? Holy hell. I think this earns me bragging rights.
God help you all if DEATH and/or GAMES is used in future DVDs. This place will stink with my farts for eternity.

Hopefully a masterbation one will appear with the movie DVD then.

I wonder whether the CGI bloke for series 8 could be brought in to do a featurette of all the RD crew having the tips of their penises pinched off in all sorts of familiar (but slightly different - ie remastered) situations. There could then be a featurette called "recycling" where these penis tips (like Kenny dying they could all have their penis tips removed an infinity of times) are all carted up ready to go to Alaska or something for pulping into penis curry for Lister to eat.

Clips from the rushes in the documentaries? Good.
Ellard appears to have been listening closely... and he's probably redeemed himself now. It'd be great if all my rabid cunt-calling of him was anything to do with all this, though it's obviously not.

His aim in life is to please you, clearly.
Posted by Ian Symes at June 18, 2004 08:26 AM
More money and better resources are probably the main reasons.
Posted by Cappsy at June 18, 2004 08:47 AM
I do genuinely think fan feedback contributes too. Things that get said in reviews and on message boards do end up being put into practice. I have to say, rather pompously, that if anything I've said on here has indirectly lead to the DVDs being improved, I'm a very happy man.
Posted by Ian Symes at June 18, 2004 08:53 AM
Good point. I suppose it's a shame that a lot of complaints and suggestions come surrounded by a barrage of pointless and personal attacks on the Producer.
Ho-hum.
Posted by Cappsy at June 18, 2004 09:03 AM
Well, when this is the producer in question, it's understandable...
Posted by Ian Symes at June 18, 2004 09:08 AM
No pictures of you snogging him, then?
Posted by Cappsy at June 18, 2004 09:13 AM
I've got one, but it's for my own personal use.
Posted by Ian Symes at June 18, 2004 09:21 AM
Indeed...
I have a picture of him with Mr Flibble and me, after I suggested that it wasn't necessary for him to be in the picture, so he made sure he was :)
